Q: Where can you buy replacement doors for a 1991 honda accord ex?
My dad wants to replace a door on his honda before he sells it. But he hasn't found any yet.

A: the dealer

Q: What are some cheap ways to add to my 1991 honda accord?
Just looking or ideas to trick out my new honda. Its basically stock right now. Ok it is stock

A: I also have a 1991 accord. I am going to do an H22a with LSD 5-speed tranny swap, but that's not very cheap. The cheap stuff: -You could get new headers for around 60 bucks (just get some off ebay because most headers are close enough to being the same that it won't matter what you get- that is, unless you buy 4 into 1 headers from DC Sports or something, but i don't believe they make them for accords) -buy a catback exhaust for anywhere between $150-$400 -get rid of the crappy stock intake and put a cold air intake in its place, those are around $50 on ebay and then i would just buy a K&N filter for it rather than using the cheap filter that comes with cheap air intakes -if you have the black lining (that keeps people from door slamming your car) around the outside of your car you could paint it the same color as your car (i have not done this, but i hear that it looks better like that) -replace the bumper lights with OEM clear ones (literally like $5 on ebay), and since you already have blinkers in your cornerlights, you can turn the bumperlights into fog lights (with some easy modification, i have already done this and it took around $50 for all the parts to do it but thats because the replacement fog light bulbs i bought were 10 bucks each) -window tint may be an option (i don't know how much it costs to have it "professionally done", but a roll of tint costs like $10 at walmart or autozone or wherever you wanna go, and they have tinting kits that you can buy for around the same price. I would not recommend tinting your own windows if you currently have no idea how to do it, because you will probably mess up and it will look like crap) -I am personally thinking about getting a front/rear bumper from a 1993 accord, because i think they look better than the 1991's bumpers -Get a braided steel brake line - should be around $150 -spark plugs and wires abour $75 all together for nice ones, but there are cheaper ones that will work well also -AEM fuel rail $150 -new brake pads (around $50 for two) -drilled and slotted rotors about $200 -strut tower bar set, about $150 -adjustable fuel pump $100 Things that cost a little more: -New rims/tires (go with powder black or flat black or something like that on the rims, as I and many other people believe that they look the best). It depends on what tires and what rims you get, but you could find some nice ones for around $800 -engine swap (everything you need for a H22a swap should be around $2000-$2500, B series are nice also and cost a little less. -new camshafts $600 -racing seats (reclinable with sliders) no-name brand should be under $300 -buy a body kit - if you are going to put it on yourself, don't buy a $400 fiberglass kit, because they are a pain in the @** to put on. You'll find it worth it to buy one for around $700-$800, because they don't break or warp during shipping nearly as easily as fiberglass kits do -if you're not into body kits, buy a front and rear lip kit, and buy 2 sideskirts. that's what I'll be doing to mine. I'm not sure of the price, but it will be cheaper than a body kit. -coilover suspension anywhere from $300-$700 -fuel injectors $300 you could also upgrade engine internals. maybe put some iron sleeves, upgrades pistons, valves and springs, etc. and then put a turbo with an intercooler on it, or if you want to go straight motor then replace the internals and overbore it.

Q: 1991 Honda Accord EX Front Passenger Door Stuck How Do I Open?
I used the key to open my passenger door one day, which I rarely do, and all of a sudden the door unlocked but it would not open. Also wouldn't open from the inside either. I found a forum online that said you needed to drill a certain spot but its not longer letting me access that page. Does anyone know exactly where to drill?

A: Its got deadlock on it you will need a new lock for the inside.

Q: My 1991 Honda Accord did not start this morning. Can someone help me and tell me why?
The car works great for its age. I haven't used it for a week and am hoping it's because of how cold it is outside. I turned the lights on and it looks like the battery light is the only one flashing. Can I jumpstart the car and would that fix it or do you think I'll have to buy a brand new battery altogether?

A: If it's turning over, the fuel line might be frozen. If it's not turnng over, jump it & see if the battery holds a charge. If not, new battery. I had a 91 civic- till 2005- 350,000 miles. Great car.

Q: Does the tension bolt for the timing belt on a 1991 Honda Accord loosen or come off?
I recently had a friend that is a "Car Guy" check to see if it needed to be changed. He couldn't get the bolt off (loose), in fact broke two socket wrenches trying. The book didn't seem to help. (Chiltons) So he slipped the belts off, the timing and the balance something or other belt, inspected them then slipped them back on. I have owned an older Honda when the timing belt goes... So bad! I just don't think the belts should slip on and off without stretching or tearing. Now the car seems to be winding constantly, but from the wheels? Am I crazy, he says I am loosing my mind. The car has 356,000 miles on it, but she runs great, and looks super. Is my chick taking a slip?

A: Most mechanics recommend changing out the tension bolt at the time of timing belt replacement.

Q: 1991 Honda accord Harmonic Balancer Pulley fell off while driving? Looked under the hood the bold is broken?
Can anyone suggest me what can i do in this situation. I have pulley bold is broken, car is still running but no AC, No Power strearing, no Alternator. please help.. any advice is appreciated.

A: you need to get the bolt out. it may not even be able to remove it, then you would have to replace engine. take it to a quality repair place

Q: How do I troubleshoot my 1991 Honda Accord Air Conditioner that does not work?
It's getting to be summer and the AC does not work. The clutch does not engage. I can't seem to find a fuse for it and there are not any fuses identified as AC in the fuse box. Where do I start troubleshooting this? Thanks!

A: that usually means its out of freon. take it to a pro you cant buy r12.

Q: 1991 honda accord wont start. I have changed starter ignition switch and tumbler. need help?
need help trouble shooting the starting system. what else can it be?

A: what is the problem with the car? If the car is cranking over but will not fire the spark plugs or run the fuel pump then your problem is with the main relay. The main relay is located under the instrument panel, probably under the left side of the dash to the left of the steering wheel. That relay has a circuit board in it that cracks and opens the circuit for the ignition and fuel pump circuits. So if the engine is turning over but you don't have spark or fuel, that's your problem. Its very common on that year and model. if the engine is not turning over and you've changed the starter, you may have a problem with a neutral safety switch. On a manual car that prevents the car from starting unless the clutch is pushed in. On an automatic, its the switch that must be pushed in by the gearshift lever when the car is put in Park. If the neutral safety switch is open circuited, the starter won't turn when you turn the key to the start positon. Lastly, I don't know if you have power to the starter or not. There is usually a fusible link in the circuit that could melt if the starter was pulling too much current. A fusible link would open circuit the starter and it would not turn when you turn the igniton key ON. additionally, the battery may not have enough juice to turn the engine over or the cables may be loose or corroded. There are other possibilities depending on whether the engine turns over or not. It would help if you could give us more information on what the car is or isn't doing. hope that helps

Q: i have a 1991 honda accord and it wont start what can i do to f?

Q: How much money should a tune up be for a 1991 honda accord lx?
Okay so I want to do a tune up for my car because lately the motor rattles a lot and the car is getting kind of slow. but what parts should they change in the tune up?? like wires and all of that stuff, oh yeah and is it expensive?

A: if they do a complete tune up on it,and replace everything it should need, around 3-350 bucks,,and that covers everything on it,that one probably would need the works done to it ,good luck with it.

Q: Where is the O2 Sensor located on a 1991 Honda Accord, and how hard is it to replace?
Need specific answers on installation and removal. Have aftermarket air filter and intake installed. If you have diagrams, please add.

A: It is located on what Honda calls the B Pipe. This is the part of the exhaust that is after the manifold, but before the catalytic converter. Look for the flexible part of the exhaust under the car and the follow the pipe towards the engine. Right before it forks into two pipes and curves up, there is the O2 sensor. It is installed vertically and has a wire coming out of its top. You need a special socket to remove it that will allow the wire to not be damaged. Most auto parts store have this socket.

Q: How do you take the hub off of a 1991 honda accord?
I am trying to replace the brake discs and i cannot get the hub off. I took off the nut that holds the hub on and it still is stuck on there.

A: Take the whole knuckle off the car and take it to a shop that can press it out and press it back in with the new rotor on. This is a hard enough job to do even when you have the proper tools. so if you try it yourself wear safety glasses.
