Q: How much should a 2005 honda accord coupe lx fully loaded with a salvage title, but rebuilt by my friend cost?
A family friend wants to sell his 2005 honda accord v6 coupe lx for $9000 to me, fully loaded. It is a salvage car but his dad had rebuilt it and I've ridden in it plenty and it runs fine. The collision was from the back and has been repaired but I am unsure if $9000 is a good price since it was a salvage. it has 59,000 miles.

A: Salvage title means nothing. The important thing is that the car was properly rebuilt. If you are convinced that there is nothing wrong with the car and you know the car, pay what it is worth to you. Make sure to get a wheel alignment and that there is no problems that will haunt you down through the years of owning it. NADA book on this car is $14,900 so I would say that $9,000 is more than fair even though the vehicle may have been salvaged and rebuilt, especially if it was rear-ended. If you were to buy the car and then total it, this is the price that you could expect your insurance company to pay you for the car. I just bought a rebuilt 1996 Accord LX Wagon with stick shift and 42,296 original miles [confirmed with an Auto Check report] & absolutely no rust. I paid $5,300 which included a new timing belt. For that price I may have been able to purchase the same vehicle with a clean title. But this is a rare car [the last year the Accord wagon was sold in the States was 1997] and to find one with stick shift and only 42,296 miles makes it even more rare. I had to have it so I was willing to pay the price. I am convinced it will easily last me 10 to 15 years which is only a cost of $500 a year at most if it was to be fully depreciated at the end of 10 years. In the end you have to decide what it is worth to you. Personally, I prefer the 4 cylinder to the 6. Less costly for maintenance and the vtec engine is more than adequate, but of course it is just my personal preference. By the way, if the car is being driven on the road and is registered it should have a rebuilt title and not a salvage title.

Q: what is the code for operating the cd in honda accord 2005 v6?
i have this honda accord 2005 v6 car and i tyr to operate the cd,and the radio but it always ask for code and i dont have the manual so i cant operate it for all these while.

A: Its a security code put in place to prevent people from using it after the batteries been disconnected. Only a Honda dealership would have that info. They will need the serial number from the radio and proof that you own the car.

Q: 2005 honda accord v6 makes clunking noise the first time it hits 10 mph after it has sat for a while. Why?
Doesn't happen after the first time unless it sits again for a while. It is in the front end and I can feel the clunk in the pedals. Further, it sometimes does a double clunk. Weird. Tranny problem? Dealer can't replicate of course.

A: I have inspected several Honda and yes it is a Transmission problem, and you are right Honda cant seem to duplicate it or is saying it is operating to factory specs. You may have a Lemon and you can contact the Brennan Lemon Law firm in Glendale Ca. for some free advise and help, don't let this problem go with out help. Go to NHTSA and check for TSBs and Recalls as well. Good Luck and God Bless

Q: How do you remove headlights off of a 2005 Honda Accord coupe?
Just purchased this car and it has after market headlights. I purchased the original headlights but they do not come with instructions. if anyone knows how to remove them and replace them please chime in.

Q: How can you clear the maintenance code on a 2005 Honda Accord?
I am tired of staring at the light and am not going to pay the dealer 400-600 dollars for nothing. I was wondering if there was a way i could clear the code myself.

A: the maint. light is to let you know when its time to have the oil changed.turn off the key press and hold the odometer button in turn key to on position and wait for the light to flash and go off. thats it. if its a service engine light check the gas cap for a good seal and wait for about 30 startups if that does work see your dealer for help. good luck

Q: How much will it cost to fix a rather large dent on my 2005 Honda Accord?
The dent is about the size of a fist. It is located in the space between the door and the taillight. It is rather high up on the car. It is not pushed in too deeply and there is no scratches. I have no idea how it got there. How much will this cost if I were to get it fixed?

A: It is hard to give you an appropriate estimate on repairing the dent without seeing it in person. If the dent is in the quarter panel, which is what I am assuming from your description, and it is in the middle or close to the middle of the panel, then it shouldn't be too bad due to the fact that the body shop may not have to blend the paint into the door or the trunk lid. Another item that would have to due with the price of repair is the color of the car. If it is a straight color like black, then you would not have to blend the paint. If it is some funky color, then it may be a problem color, or even a tri- coat, which would more than likely have to be blended. My best guess on a price would be somewhere in the ball park of $500. But again, that is without physically seeing it. Your best bet is to get a couple of estimates, compare the prices and go from there. But take a good look at the shop when you are there. Make sure it looks reputable, and that the staff seem competant. The lower price might look good, but when it's done, your car may not.

Q: how can i make my 2005 honda accord sedan ex v6 corner better.?
There is quite a bit of body roll. My second car is a civic coupe and it corners much better than the accord. I would like to know if i had any options to help with this problem.

A: your accord rides higher than a civic. lower the car and have performance tires.

Q: My passenger door wont open from the inside. I have a 2005 honda accord coupe, I read the manuel?
And there are no child locks on a coupe, what could be the problem The doors open fine from the outside.

A: 90% says there is a break or a snag in the linkage connecting the inner door handle and the latching mechanism... if you are brave you could take the door panel off and look for it. Otherwise I suggest taking it to a dealership or body shop and ask them

Q: What would my car be doing if my immobilizer system was going out or messed up on my 2005 Honda Accord?
I put my key in it cranked fine then immedialey died. No lights, no engine turning over, nothing! It just cranked and died and never did anything again. The ONLY thing that will work on the entire car is the horn. What does this sound like to you?

A: The original batteries in Honda cars last an average of 3 to 5 years depending on the environments. Your car is in the range where it would not be uncommon to find the battery is dead. did you try to have the car jump started? with the immobilizer the green key icon on the dash will flash on and off while you are cranking the engine to indicate a problem with an incompatible key. the immobilizer won't shut off the electricity to the car. if the horn is working the main fuse is good as the main controls power to the fuse box. Everything in your description says it's a simple battery gone bad problem. hope that helps

Q: is it safe too hook a subwoofer amp up to a hybrid battery in a 2005 honda Accord?
I wanna put subs in my hybrid but there is no way to go through the car to the main battery is it safe to hook everything up to the hybrid battery in the trunk?

A: I would seriously doubt it. The hybrid battery is most likely a different voltage.
