I have a 2007 CRV and I want to tow a 250cc dune buggy. It is a two seater and weights approximately 800 pounds, it is just a little bit bigger than an ATV. The trailer weights around 400 pounds, and the max towing on the CRV is 1500 pounds. Will this be too much stress on the traini or engine.

A: You will get a couple more thousand if you sell it to an individual. Take an ad out in the paper. Explain in the ad that the car is 'Brand New. Won in a contest.' To get a feel for the value, go car shopping online and ask for a price quote, after all rebates and incentives, of a brand new '07 with the same options that yours has.
The reason that I say "Don't go to a dealer" is that a dealer's job is to buy low and sell high. They will offer you (I'm guessing) $5,000 or more less for your 07 than the brand new ones sell for (that's SELL for , not sticker for.) You may be able to recoup some of this by selling it yourself.

began in the rear passenger side and does not go away, it is annoying. I took the vehicle back to repair place. Pick it up a day later and drove it. All was good for a couple of days until I drove longer distance and the thumping sound came back. What is causing this? I want it fixed like it was before the accident.
A: Go back and give them another chance to fix it properly and if they can't then contact the insurance company and take it somewhere else.
It could be a bad tire, perhaps damaged in the accident, the wheels could be rotated to see if the thumping moves to the front.
Q: Any one own a 2007 Honda CRV?
I found my 2007 Honda CRV has many flaws in designs such as a poor trunk door, I have to slam very hard to close and in a rainy day, water collected under the trim and cause splash when I open the trunk. In the winter, the windshield heater seems useless. The foot pedals also seems out of proportion with the door, every time I enter or leaving the car, I have to twist my legs to get in or out.
I am trying to gather details of other owners and see if I can get some solutions from Honda? I appreciate your help.
A: Have a 2008 which is the same as 2007 and I don't see any of the problems you mention.
My hatch opens and closes fine, in fact they have the handle inside the door for closing which is a nice touch. Never have any water collect under
the trim.
The defroster works fine, are you using the defroster or setting the mode control to feet and defroster? If you do that will not provide much defrost to the windshield. That's more or less to keep haze from forming on the windshield after the full defroster has done it's job.
I don't have any problem with the pedals, I'm 5'10" and 170 lbs.
I also have the EX-L with automatic seats so maybe I can get a better
seat position then the normal EX or LX versions.
Good luck on getting Honda to change, this is the best selling crossover in America and usually rates 5 stars so I doubt Honda is going to change anything.
One thing I do think though is the vehicle is a little under-powered.
It would of been nice if they could of put the Acura vtec 192 hp engine in it.
Other than that I don't really have any complaints.
Q: High fuel economy for Honda CRV 2007?

1. Now that I know I can go up to 6500 RPM for a honda crv, will i achieve greater fuel economy if i drive at lesser rpm?
2. Can you give me some tips to achieve good fuel economy with my honda crv?
3. Will rapid acceleration cause any problems to the engine or fuel economy?
A: Do not listen to the above poster!!! There is no comparison between a Honda and a Ford! Honda's love being revved up and the CRV is no exception. Thank the VTEC for that. I own a 97 CRV and consistently get 23 mpg just going to and from work, 12 miles one way consistantly driving 65 - 70 mph up and down some big hills and around some pretty sharp curves. Personally, I think I get even better fuel efficiency when over 70 mph on the highway. The best I ever got was 31 mpg on the highway, but I probably average more like 28 - 29 mpg on the highway. My CRV wasn't even rated as well for fuel efficiency as the new ones are, so you should see similar results.
I currently have 151,000 miles on mine and I am still getting great fuel effiency. I love my Honda!

I have a Honda CRV 2007 . Last few days , whenever I turn the ignition on "maint reqd" light starts flashing. This light goes away few seconds after the car starts. Its only 1500 miles when I got the oil changed. Total milage on car is around 19.5 K
A: Check your owners manual , it could mean a number of things, first you should check the manual, i'm asuming its still under warranty since it is a 2007?
If so take it by the dealer and have them look at it, that should take care of it.

A: Yes, but there is a way to prevent this from happening. Go to a tire shop that gives you the option to have your tires filled with nitrogen gas. This inert gas is not harmful in any way, but a main advantage is that it is unaffected by temperature changes. This technique has been used in auto racing for many years and is now finding it's way into consumer vehicles. Another nice thing about this is with constant pressure in the tires, you may actually get a little better gas mileage.
Just make sure you don't have any leaks before you do this. It costs about $5 a tire to get this done. Then next time the low pressure light comes on, you know cold weather isn't at fault.

A: Check out the Ford Edge. It's a new 2007 design and has much more appeal. It's got a chrome grill, V6, AWD, Navigation, Sirius, Vista Roof, and available chrome wheels.
The CRV is a little wimpy looking because of the small wheels and the Murano is an old design.
