A: A decent paint job would probably cost a good $800-1200. Don't get a cheap $200 job cuz it will chip bad. And to change to another color, it's gonna cost a couple hundred more.

Q: how hard is it to install a Honda CRX body kit?
I recently got in an accident and bent up my front bumper and passenger side fender and scraped the door panel and rear quarter panel (front fender is worst, rest is minor). The body shop put repairs at 2000+ because they would have to cut out the rear panel. Would I be able to purchase a full (12 piece) body kit and install over the damage by myself (i don't have that much experience)? Do you know of any 12 piece bolt on kits? I've seen some, but can't tell if they are bolt on or not. Thanks.

A: 12 piece kits are usually wide body kits, these need to be molded and done by someone with experience, no amount of paint can cover body ripples. Have the shop quote u the kit install price, and shop around.

Q: what are some cheap ways that i can get more power out of my Honda CRX?
i have a stock 1.6 engine in my CRX SI. and i recently put a AEM cold air intake on it. what are some cheap things that i can do myself, without spending alot of my money?

Q: what is the best type of car cover for a honda crx?
I plan on storing it for the next 3 years until my son turns 16. Hopefully at some point it will be indoors but for now will be outside. Keep in mind the cover won't be taken off very often if that makes a difference in your choice for best car cover. Security isn't an issue-just protection from the weather.

Q: what is the best way to find a vacuum leak on a 88 Honda CRX?
I have this problem with my car when it idles my RPMs will go up and down between 1000 rpm and 1300 rpm. I was told it is a vacuum leak but I dont want to take it in to be fixed when it will cost me around $80 if not more. So what would be the best way to find out where the leak is?

A: A trick an old mechanic told me about and I tried with success is to use a small propane torch. After you start the car, turn on the torch WITHOUT lighting it and place the end of the torch near vacuum hoses and connections. If you have a vacuum leak the car will run normal when the end of the torch is placed near it.

Q: How would i adjust the rpms my 1987 honda crx idles at?
First it wouldnt idle at all, but then I got the vacuum hoses fixed and now it idles fine but its idling at 2000rpms. how do i adjust this so its just like 1300 or normal?

A: There's an idle screw on the throttle body that you should be able to adjust. I added the instructions from AutoZone below. actually 1300 is even a little high. 700-800 should be about right. Good luck!

I want to swap a my 91 CRX HF D15B6 engine to a larger/faster Honda engine? Is it complicated and hard? What do you need to make them fit?

A: Well its not hard at all. First do you know how to work a engine hoist? 2nd do you know how do a timing belt. 3rd do you feel comfortable about remove an engine? Simple remove your D motor and replace it. SOHC/DOHC ZC or what they are D motors are direct bolt in no wiring needed unless its a Vtec. For more info on that. THEZCR.com B-serious need motor mounts, axles, shiftlinkage same as above. I belive you need a different brake hub. LS motors 1.8L B20 2.0L non vtec need no wiring but you need to convert to OBD1 Vtec motors need more wiring Hasport.com rywire.com K-serious lets just say if you ask this question you can do it on your own that goes H motors. What I suggest? I done many ZC motors before simple cheap the SOHC ZC has about 130HP in a car that weighs 2000 you should be 15.0-15.5 in the 1/4 with a decent tire and traction lower 15's. Boost on this motors a safe 7-8psi tune your 13's friend will show. SOHC long block $400 ZC non lsd tranny $150 LSD $400 B-serious are great you can get a B16 swap down for less then $2000 if you do it yourself. 14.7-15.2 1/4 GSR take another .20-.30 off ITR motor is a monster .40-.50 off. A: I have all the dvd series of top gear and never encountered Honda reviews regarding the CRX. its too old. the only hondas i ve seen are the previous 2 civics, the Euro accord, and they once mentioned the new NSX and how Honda is ruining its prestige. No CRX s as far as i know.
