Q: 1995 Honda Civic 2 door seats into a 1997 Honda Civic 4 Door?
I would like to put seats from a 1995 honda civic 2 door in a 1997 honda civic 4 door. Will they fit?
A: In short. Yes the brackets will fit and match up, but the coupe's seats on a four door will be matched up funny since the back will be closer to the b-pillar over usual.
Q: What are the differences between a 1995 Honda Civic DX and 1995 Honda Civic EX?
I'm trying to find the differences between a DX model & EX model. Same year and everything else.
A: The DX was the base model, equipped with manual windows, defroster and power brakes.
DX had D15B7 & EX had D16Z6 (engines).
The DX was coded as the EJ2/EG8 & the EX as the EJ1/EG9
Q: whats the best way to determine if my 1995 honda civic has an intake air leak?
Just partially rebiult my 1.5 liter honda civic , engine appears to have a miss fire engine is looping or missing @ idle and was stalling while comming to a stop after driving. {@ a red light}. I know the battery is def not holding a charge. Engine was burning oil, replaced piston rings all, replaced con rod bearings, flex honed jugs and cleaned oil pan and pick up screen new PCV valve, lined up timing marks as directed in HAYNES manual on cam shaft and pulley which I replaced. All belts are new 4-2-1 chromed header. Please send any possible input and thank you for your time.
A: like that guy said, I'd fix the power issue first, maybe the alternator.... but from what it sounds like, it may the Idle Air Control Valve.
the IACV is located on the back of the intake manifold, if you search on honda-tech.com , I'm sure you can find pics and instructions as well as the symptoms. i personally haven't had this problem but i have helped a friend out with a 1995 civic hatchback, 1.5 (d15y7) and we were able to find a replacement at the salvage yard, but we later found out that you can remove the IACV and clean with brake parts cleaner and some carb/choke cleaner, it MAY fix the problem, because we replaced the part with a used part, it only lasted a week or so, and we used the remove and clean method and has been working fine for about a year now, OHHHH ALSO , you may want to try giving it a firm tap with a hammer, JUST IACV that is, with the car running and see if you notice a change in the idle.. GOOD LUCK
p.s. i found the IACV "how-to" http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1575913
Q: How much would it cost to get my small 1995 honda civic painted black?
my car is white..i wanna paint it black. how much would it cost for a decent paintjob that will last a decent period of time?
A: Standard commercial automotive grade paint jobs run $1,500 to $5000.
A roller paint job using your labor to sand - the expensive part, and plain old hardware store enamel paint, about $80. I'm already prepping my older car - stripping the glued on trim, power washing the old clear coat flakes, etc. I have done this before using the standard spray equipment, but I just couldn't afford the $900 in tools, equipment and materials.
A 6 inch smooth roller for metal cabinets, sandpaper, and patience will net me a paint job just exactly like the ones they used to have before spray equipment became common. It has the benefit of finish sanding between coats - which you won't get from a body shop - and will look glass smooth when done properly. Plus, no pumping paint into the air, it 99% goes on the car. You can even clear coat over it if you like that peeling sunburn look again in ten years.
Just search the net for "$50 paint job," especially on the mopar forums. Lots of good looking stuff done years ago, and they haven't faded yet. Rustoleum is that good now.
Q: How do you reset the alarm on a 1995 Honda Civic?
It went off the last time we tried to start the car (with the key, of course--it's our car). Now, the car won't start and there's a little blinking red light at the end of a wire. Help? We didn't even know the car had an alarm!
A: Some will reset by disconnecting battery, if you can find what brand it is you can look it up on the Internet.
Q: My 1995 Honda Civic sometimes won't start when there is very high humidity outside. Is it the main computer?
A: Could be a cracked distributor cap.
Q: How do you change the front left turn signal bulb in a 1995 Honda Civic?
My left front blinker stopped working today, I guess my bulb is out, how do I change it?
A: if theres no screws in the lens...then under the hood...locate the back side of the turn signal..and there should be a plug there...it should make a 1/4 turn to the left to release it...then pull the old bulb out...and put a new one in..then put the socket back in..1/4 turn back to the right...and you are done.
Q: How do you adjust the headlights on a 1995 Honda Civic?
I heard there were either screws or a dial, but where and what tools do I need to do this? Any illustrations/pictures would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
A: looking at the headlllight there will be a little hole in between the ight and the head ight ring at the twelve o'clock position insert a Philips head screw driver and turn right to raise and left to lower now on the left or right side of same light you will see another hole insert and turn left or right to adjust left or right
Q: Is it possible to have air conditioning and power steering in a 1995 honda civic with an H22 engine swap?
I was wondering if this is a possibility.
A: First of all DRKADK or whatever your name is: Your a moron and obviously don't know what your talking about. Your answer has nothing to do with what the question is. h22s are heavy blah blah blah. When is the last time you put an h22 on a scale? Yes they are heavier than a B series but not by enough at all to make a difference. Wow I would love to see a b20 hatch race an h22 hatch stock for stock, the h22 is going to murder your little b20,b16, or b18c1. Why are there people suggesting to get a different motor? He/she didn't ask for any suggestions about what motor to get.
Anyways, yes you can put a/c and power steering on it. HCP engineering makes special brackets, but it is a tight fit. You just use the civic condenser on the h22. I think Hasport makes a bracket as well.

Q: What is the best way to fix a leaking trunk on a 1995 Honda Civic?
The car was hit from behind under the previous owner. When it rains hard, i generally find a puddle around the spare tire. I am not sure where the water is coming from.
A: Since it was hit in the rear the force pushed the trunk and all in the back upward. Most likely after they fixed the car they didn't get it all back exactly perfect. I would bet its coming from your trunk seal and bet its coming from the top part below the back window. Easy way is to lay a hose on the roof so it flows over the back window, lay inside the trunk w/ the lid closed and w/ a flashlight. Make sure you have a 2nd person with you to let you out. You should see where the water is coming in. Get out and double check the spot on the trunk gasket. If just a small tear you can repair it with about any silicone gasket sealer. If its a major rip or all the way through I would recomend a new gasket.
Now if get in the trunk and see no water at all. Then next step would be is to remove the spare tire and look under it. Most cars have a drain plug under the tire to allow water taht might collect a way out. But if that plus is missing this means a quarter size hole is open under your trunk. When it rains hard there is alot of over spray coming off your cars and others, it is getting in through that hole.
That is where I would look, rare a tail light can cause water in a trunk as the tail light is curved inside and would reflect it back out.
Q: will the interior pieces out of a 1994 integra fit into my 1995 honda civic ex?
I want to swap out the door panels, pillar trim, all the plastic and leather on the inside and rear panels. If so , is there a easy way to get it out or is there a tool to use as to not damage the panel clips?
A: They will not fit. The tool to remove door panels is essentially a putty knife.
Q: What oil weight does the manufacturer recommend for a 1992-1995 honda civic d15?
I think it's on the oil cap but my oil cap is from another car and i don't have the manual to it.
A: 5w30 is recommended by honda. i use 20w50 on my 2000 civic si w/ b16a and i love it. takes some time to warm up in the morning but once warm its all the same. 5w30 and 10w30 is to thin i dont want my bearing taking a beating so i use thick oil and have'nt had any problems
Q: what type of refrigerant is used in a 1995 honda civic EX coupe?
My car has stopped blowing cold air through the A/C. I have had the car since 2000 and i have never recharged it so i think it just needs a recharge but i want to make sure i have the right refrigerant
A: It is R134a and should have a sticker under the hood stating that. Most cars were switched from R-12 to R134a in '93.
Try some of the large recharge cans with the seal additive. They also have a pressure guage on the included hose to be sure you do not over pressure. I had the same issue on my 94 Accord and used one full can without raising the pressure from 35 PSI (low side, large pipe). It is cooling better but can use another can probably.
Q: Where can I find a fuse diagram for a 1995 honda civic?
Besides the owner's manual, which I don't have. I'm looking for something online.

Q: What type of engine should i put in my 1995 Honda Civic to make it go fast?
i want to get my car really fast, what engine is the best to get it up there?
A: There are a lot of good things being said but I will sum everything up plus add a little.
First and foremost whatever engine you get, get the proper ECU and tune.
The most common engine to put in, for high horsepower, is a B series motor. The B16, B17, B18, and B20.
B16:
pros- high horsepower, easy to find, go in with little trouble, easy to find parts for.
cons- low torque, expensive, you have to wait for VTEC.
B17:
Rare engine. It's hard to find parts for it so I would stay away.
B20:
pros- relatively cheap, good torque.
cons- low horsepower, weak sleeves, not reliable when built.
B18:
This is your best option.
Pros- Good horsepower and torque. Decent Sleeves stock. Very good aftermarket parts available, and lots of them.
Cons- ... can't really think of any significant ones.
Now there are several variations of the B18:
B18A1 - (90-93 Integra)
B18B1 - (94-01 Integra)
B18C - (98-01 JDM Integra Type R{ITR})
B18C1 - (94-01 Integra GS-R)
B18C5 - (98-01 USDM ITR)
Now if you are going all motor then you are going to want a VTEC motor which would be the B18C, B18C1, or B18C5.
If you are going to boost it then the B18A1, or B18B1 will be best.
If you want it REALLY fast then you should get a B18B1 from a 94-95 integra, then add a turbo and run it on 9psi. You can boost it to 9 pounds on a stock engine and see some nice results. Just remember GET IT TUNED!!!
