Q: Is this a good deal on a 2003 honda pilot?
im considering on buying a honda pilot EX-L (with factory installed dvd player). It has 127,000 miles on it and the dealer is offering 9,995 for it. Is that a good buy? I was also wondering if this car can get 25 mpg? the dealer gave me a copy of the car fax history and it has only been owned by one owner and hasnt been in any wrecks and has been in every scheduled maintenance.

A: According to www.nada.com that figure is in the ballpark for a retail price. depends on where you live and what options the vehicle has. My main concern would be when the timing belt was replaced or IF it was. It should have been replaced at least once and possible twice if the previous owner used it under conditions of severe use. Are you able to find out? Our daughter sometimes gets better than 25mpg with her Pilot. It all depends on how you drive and how much idling you do. Warming your car up on a cold winter day is a waste of fuel.

Q: what would win in a race honda pilot or ford explorer?
I told my friend just cuz the ford has a v8 doesnt mean anything, it is a lot heavier then my pilot i told him when i get my licence i will prove it.

A: common sense tells you the v-8 will win good luck

Q: what is better honda pilot or chevi trailblazer or Saturn Outlook or Saturn VUE?
I would like to buy a new car that is 4x4, but I don't know much about cars. I live where it snows a lot and we have a long winter, but I live in the city, thus obviously the roads are cleaned early in the morning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If you could also write why - that would be great.

A: You can't go wrong with a Honda.

Q: Can the 2007 Honda Pilot play mp3 data disks?
I bought a 2007 honda pilot and i want to know if it can play mp3 data disks

A: yes, if it comes with a mp3 data disk player or you install one.

Q: What is the piano song that is on the Honda Pilot commercial?
It was the honda pilot commercial where the men are going on a camping trip

A: go to about.com. then inside go to about music.com. look around there. he has a list about commercials and artists.

Q: What deals are available to someone looking for a Honda Pilot in Massachusetts?

A: Go here http://www.edmunds.com/incentives/RebateController?step=0&tid=edmunds.n.incentivesindex.incentives.1.1.* But Honda is hard about deals. They know their vehicles will sell, so they don't have to give good breaks. Usually they will have some lease options, but that's about it.

Q: How do I open the tailgate of an 09 Honda Pilot?
I just cant open it. It's an electronic handle, and it clicks, but it just won't open! Like you can tell that it's sort of open but if you pull it harder, it gets stuck...

A: How are you unlocking the tailgate? What trim level do you have? If you unlock all doors with remote the gate should be unlocked.

Q: I just got a 05 Honda pilot anyone know the MPG?
I GOT A USED 05 HONDA PILOT. I love it and its a small suv that seats 8. It has a V6 anyone know the actual city and freeway miles p g .....

A: I also have a 2005 Honda Pilot I get around 15 miles in the city.

Q: which is a better car the honda pilot or the toyota highlander?
my mom is getting a new car and its between those 2 cars and both are the 2008 model and i just need an opinion

A: Honda Pilot is the better one simply because it is a dumbed down Acura MDX. Highlander used to be a dumbed down Lexus RX but the new model has many Chinese built parts that are a sad state of affairs for Toyota. The Pilot still uses American and Japanese built parts and has been on the road enough years for them to improve and revise small problems that were seen each year. Toyota is just not what it used to be anymore. Many of the camshafts on their 5.7 liter engine Tundra were faulty and had to be recalled. This was unheard of with a Toyota until now.

Q: Do you drive a Honda Pilot? What are the pros and cons?
I am thinking of purchasing one, but I want to hear from those who already own one.

A: I do not have one but a former colleague of mine had a green 2004 Pilot - he liked the SUV capabilities and the riding style. If you're looking for more opinions, Edmunds.com has many forums devoted to the Honda Pilot. The link is given below:

Q: what do you thinkof the honda pilot is it a good buy? is it fuel efficient for its class?
ive been reading a lot of complaints about its fuel efficiency not nearly living up to what was advertised 17-22mpg city/ hi-way,some report getting just 10-15mpg! im a little confused need your advice thanks

A: 10-15 is probably an exaggeration, but I'm sure it doesn't get the 22 mpg. However, I do know that it is ahead of a lot of other stuff like explorer and miles ahead of the durango, if you count it in that class. I'd go with it, but not with the idea that it should have great gas mileage.

Q: While driving my Honda Pilot the D indicator flashes?
while driving my honda pilot the drive indicator flashes and it flashes when i stop and cotinus flashing even when i put it in park neutral reverse

A: You should get the vehicles computer scanned and check for any problems as well as codes and then you will have a good idea on what the problem truly is. Try finding an independent shop instead of the dealer or a chain store because you will be overall more pleased with the findings and the service.

Q: What is the life expectancy of a Honda pilot with 100,000 miles already on it and , How reliable are they ?

A: Having owned about 5 Hondas before and currently driving a 95 Accord(165k miles), I think it safe to assume you can hit 200k on that odometer easy

Q: Can I switch the tires on a Honda Pilot from 16 inches to 18 inches?
Is there any technical reason why this should not be done? If so, please elaborate.

A: You can do whatever you want honestly if the bolt pattern matches up and the wheel slides on who gives... Right? Just know if the 18" wheel with the tire on it depending on what series tire you go with assuming it will be larger then the 16" stock you're going to lose your gas mileage.
