Q: auxiliary on a 2007 honda pilot?
i need to figure out where this is located. i've found the button, but cannot figure where you plug in the Auxiliary Audio cable...
any help?
and is it possible to have the CD changer and AUX plugged in at the same time, without buying a converter box?
A: IIRC, it's behind the radio.
Q: Cat-back exaust system for 2007 Honda pilot?
Looking to upgrade the exaust system for the pilot and having a hard time finding one. I just like to add little bit of bass and ease the gas flow and keep it conservative since it's my wife's car. I found some universal fitting mufflers from flowmasters and I wanted to see if anybody had their pilot fitted with a cat-back exaust and how they like the muffler sound?
If anything borla or flowmaster?
A: how about magnaflow

and here is Borla

Q: 2007 Honda Pilot--What do you think?
We're thinking of buying one and there seem to be a lot of closeout specials going on right now. Money's pretty tight so we're considering their lowest priced automatic...the 2007 2wd Pilot LX.
Is it a good one? Is the standard LX with nothing extra a good value for the money?
Thanks so much.
regards,
mari
A: you should be getting it for invoice price or even less
check out www.rockhonda.com if you are in CA
it is a nice roamy car that feels and drives different than other cars
it is not a rocket when it comes to performance but it is a very practical car and if you drive real easy, you should be able to get 30 MPG on regular gas - after engine break-in
in any case, you can not go very wrong with Hondas
this car does not have a resale value as strong as the civic - don't buy it if you don't intend to keep it for a while
Q: do my new 2007 honda pilot need a wheel ailgnment, i got it in august?
A: It never hurts to get your wheels aligned, but unless you've been doing some curb-hoping, skipping potholes, and just rough driving in general, I would say you would not need one right now.
Q: how many keys can I program for my 2007 honda pilot?
A: Five.
Q: 2007 Honda Pilot EXL oil change?
I bought it brand new and only drive about 15 mile per day five days a week. Occasionally I drive it on highway.
It has been 5 months and I only put 2800 mile on it. Should I worry about having oil change done for the first time even if the mileage is not there yet? What if this messes up the later on automatic maintenence schedule? Can the dealer reset it? Thanks so much!
A: OMG These people have no idea about hondas
Well first off no you do not need to get your oil changed right now. In 2006 honda put a maintence minder system in all Pilots. It accuratly measures your oil life witch goes from 0 to 100%. Now with your first oil change honda recomends you have your first oil change done when your oil life reachs 15% because special addetives are put in the oil in the car from the factory that lubricate and protect your engine internals. If you change your oil before it reachs 15% you do not give your engine enough time for the addetives to do there job properly. Honda no longer measures oil changes by miles because the oil life depends on how you drive the vehicle. to check your oil life you have a button on your gauge cluster that adjust the brightness of your gauges if you press it in it cycle through your milage and oil life if your oil life is more then 15% do not get your oil changed when your oil needs to be changed your maintence requried light will come on witch is a wrench and your oil life will be 15% and yes after the oil change is preformed the technician will reset your maintence system
Q: do car performance chips, really work? Specifically, for a 2007 Honda Pilot? Does it improve HP and MPG?
I'd like to improve horsepower and gas mileage, but what downsides are there? I'm familiar with the Dinan chips for BMW's, but have just found out about them for Honda's. Which one's are rated the best?
A: The cheap $20 are nothing but a resistor....which is used to fool the computer to thinking the engine is sucking in colder air.... it dosent work.....
Q: 2007 Honda Pilot Music Link?
I am buying a honda pilot and asked the salesman if he knew if it was ipod conpatiable. HE DIDN'T KNOW!!! I want to know: 1. Does it come standard on the EX-L?
2. How much would it cost to add to my pilot?
3. I noticed a AUX button, can i not have music link and still be able to listen to my ipod through an AUX cable(i have one of those so it would be easier).
Thank you for answering my important question!
A: Those radios are not iPod compatible. You can get an auxiliary input for audio in (PIE part# HON03/PC-SON) but this will not give you iPod controls.
Q: Who owns a 2007 Honda Pilot and what do you think of it? Have you had any problems......?
A: The Honda Pilot is the "best in class" vehicle for the midsize neo-luxury utility vehicles. I worked at Honda dealer service dept for the 4 years since the Pilot introduction and there has never been a more trouble-free vehicle when it first came out and it has gotten better over the model years. It really is over-engineered--the brakes and tires for example last twice as long as those on any other Honda. The Pilot has never had any product problems. Just follow the care and feeding instructions in the owners manual and it will last forever. I own 4 honda cars now; my next Honda will be the Pilot.
Q: Would the 2007 Honda Pilot fit a man 6'8" comfortably?
A: Dude go to the dealership and sit in one.
But I don't think you'll be that comfortable.
For shits and giggles sit in an S2000 as well.
Q: Anybody owning a honda pilot 2007 - how do u like it?
A: I have a 2003, not much difference, save your money and pay cash for a used pilot or its prettier twin the Acura MDX.
a used 2004 mdx is a good deal right now... 16 MPG is what most average I have talked to with mdx or pilot. same car under the sheetmetal.
Q: Increased RPMs on Honda Pilot?
I own a 2007 Honda Pilot.
I was charging my phone, and for some reason happened to blow out the fuse on the charger and the radio. The Honda Dealership fixed it.
Ever since the fuse though, I have noticed that the car uses higher RPMs during acceleration.
It is hard to prove that the car is using higher revs to the Honda guys.
Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening?
A: The only thing that comes to mind on your concern is that Honda vehicles use adaptive learning to tailor the way the engine runs and the transmission shifts to your driving style. Over time the engine speeds will be adjusted in the memory of the on-board computer as it 'learns' how you prefer to drive the vehicle.
if you normally have a conservative acceleration the transmission shift program would be altered when that drive pattern is learned so that the engine runs at a lower rpm.
My theory, and its only that, is that the memory function for the 'learned' values of the computer is shared by the memory for the radio stations and other devices on the car. When the battery power is disconnected for a few minutes all memory is lost; for example, you have to reset the radio, reset the clock etc. They can be manually reset; on the engine adaptive learning however those values have to be 're-learned' by driving the vehicle.
the honda guys see a car that is operating within the normal range of operation; that's why they can't verify your 'problem'. They can't reset the computer values that have been learned so in essence the only 'fix' is for you to drive the vehicle to teach it how you like to drive it.
there is one thing you can try. Warm your engine to normal operating temperature then turn the car off. Then disconnect your battery for 5 minutes. reconnect the battery and then, turn all of the accessories in the car to off (radio, heater, defroster, etc.) then start the car without touching the gas pedal and let it run for 10 minutes. that will teach the car the idle values for your vehicle. that may help restore your lower rpm when accelerating. Its worth a try if it bothers you that much which it obviously does if your asking about it. If it doesn't help then give the vehicle time to relearn how you drive
hope that helps

Q: 2007 Mazda CX-9 GT with DVD Rear Entertaintement or Honda Pilot EX-L with DVD Player?
I am on the market for a midsize suv that can seat at least 7 passengers, and i think this are my best choises
A: You cannot go wrong with your best choices. Assuming you have a tie with the products, consider additional variables. What is the comparative cost to you to insure these vehicles? What is the reputation of the service department and the dealership? Mind you not all are equal. Do you intend to keep the vehicle or lease it? If you lease it, what would be the residual value? How much does it cost to fill up? And how much is the routine service plan? On a lighter note, which one puts the widest smile on your face when you sit behind the wheel. Good luck.
